What happened with the newspaper El Universo of Quito and hundreds of media in Venezuela and Argentina shows again that only the current democracies, as the Colombian, the press and opinion liberty aren’t just a Constitution announcement.
Here could be told that the censorship that occurs in contrary sense; while Mr. Ramiro Bejarano takes advantage of the space to insult without be banned to Alvaro Uribe Velez, there is no prosecution, on the contrary he took the space to generate political opinion to some, he was the Director the Administrative Security Department DAS, and was on that time when were used the State´s resources to cover the problems from the State generated by the Samper´s government.
With knowledge of the case, Francisco Santos revealed that the “chuzadas” (phone tapings) were announced since Ramiro Bejarano was director of the DAS. “I remember a column of mine were I accused the former director of the DAS, the famous columnist Ramiro Bejarano, of doing exactly the same thing (illegal interceptions to the phones) and absolutely nothing happened. No one investigated [1].
Although the fact, it must prevail the “historic memory” of the nation, that its being built on everything that attacks the country, including Ramiro Bejarano, Samper Pizano and all the other characters that today hide their own conducts in favor of a narco presidency and defeated their bishops, sending them to the extradition that the left and the social liberalism has fought so much.
On the contrary to what happens in Ecuador, the Colombian press has had all the liberties, just look how the caricaturists, that do more than an editorial, raise or kill a public character as Ramiro Bejarano and the bunch of enemies of Uribe that keep publishing their same hates, announcing at a high voice that they are getting threatened in order of not getting in a judicial process for their lies, they keep writing the political propaganda and none of them has being killed yet.
On the contrary the journalists die, the leaders and citizens that dare writing against the narco terrorism (Farc and ELN), facts that weren’t denounced by the SIP and that explain how Correa censorships the media of that country.
It must be quoted Bobbio and the facts that theoretically allows the consolidation of an effective democracy, among them the inclusion of the individuals on a system; the equivalence of the individual votes on an election process; the respect to the information plurality; the respect of a political plurality; the respect of majority; and the respect to the individual and group rights, rules that points to an individual application in any social system, by in a distance one from another or bad applied in any part, impede the establishment of a democratic system.
